My editing services are priced by the word, so in order to give you an exact quote I would need the word count of the document you would like me to edit.

In general, my editing services are 3 to 5 cents per word.

An edit is for writers who:

want nonjudgmental, educated feedback
want to know if their argument makes sense to an educated nonspecialist
are stuck and need unsticking
are submitting to journals, publishers, their committee members, or are otherwise ready to share their work with others and want a clean manuscript
are on a deadline and don’t have TIME to take care of details like formatting

Academics and writers aren’t made of money, and everyone deserves support. Pay what you feel comfortable with.

These can include:

I want feedback on a document

I don’t know if my idea is enough to turn into a book

I need to write, I’m just not doing it, and I need a plan of action

I want to know how to publish my work commercially

2 x 50-minute calls

Our first call will be a strategy call; we’ll talk through where you’re stuck and come up with a game plan.

Our second call will be a follow-up call. We’ll see how things are working out for you, and what you might need to tweak going forward.

I also do a limited number of pro bono sessions; message me to see if I have space.

Think of monthly coaching like having a supportive, invested writing partner — who just so happens to have expert knowledge in both academia and commercial publishing — on call. According to your chosen package, we will set aside time every month to talk about you and your work. This is a good option for writers working on longer projects and would like ongoing accountability and support.
